Repeat Prescriptions

If your doctor feels that it is appropriate for you to receive repeat prescriptions you will be given a repeat prescription card.

Requests for medication can then be made by either calling in at the surgery, by telephone, post or online.

Please remember to enclose a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post your prescription back to you. 

Prescriptions can be sent directly to the pharmacy under special schemes. Please speak to the local pharmacy for details.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.

Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
